Understanding of the world

Understanding of the world is a key element within Montessori approach. It is very contemporary topic as in today’s reality; it is all about gaining new experiences to take us step by step out of our comfort zone.

Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.” – Maria Montessori

We enjoy providing the children with different experiences, such as celebrating different festivals. Halloween,  diwali and christmas are good examples to name a few. We also undertake yoga and on a different note, keep an eye on the weather as we have a weather board. All in all, we have a wide range of different activities and equipment to provide the children with new experiences. We use and change these on a weekly basis to again gain new interest. We also each week endeavor on a new topic such as healthy eating, dinosaurs or dental care to name a few different once.
